Alpha School will be closed indefinitely until further notice

​Greetings Alpha School Families,

I hope this message finds you and your loved ones well and in good spirit. I recognize how challenging that may be at this time, as simple as it sounds.
I wanted to reach out to you to further assure you that at this time the entire Alpha School staff and family are with you.
As we enter Week 3 of our Virtual Learning Plan we want to thank all of you, students, families, and staff for your collaboration and helping us all try all we can to continue to meet the needs of our students.

Please know that we recognize the challenges we are facing and acknowledge how difficult this is. We are surely living history at this time and facing challenges we have never faced before.

That being said, our goal first and foremost is to be a support for all of you at this time. While we hear you and understand that the amount of work and communication we have experienced these first two weeks is to say the least overwhelming. I know our staff has shared with many of you, if not all of you, what we are offering on a daily basis is guidance. We are legally mandated to continue offering education services. Our children still have the right to an appropriate education even during these most uncertain times. Therefore, as we continue to navigate this please do not hesitate to engage our staff in conversation and discuss, share what it is you find most valuable at this time and what you feel is reasonable and realistic for you to accomplish with your children at home. Our world is certainly in crisis and the last thing we want to do is add to the stress we are all already experiencing.

As of the moment you receive this message, Alpha School will remain closed until further notice. The decision to reopen schools will come at the discretion of the State of New Jersey and our Governor. As of now the state has all schools closed with a planned reassessment date of April 17th. We will most certainly keep you informed of any developments along the way.

Until then we wish you and your families continued strength and well wishes until we can all resume our normal schedules.

Espero que este mensaje los encuentre bien y con buen espíritu a ustedes y a sus seres queridos. Reconozco lo difícil que puede ser en este momento, tan simple como suena.

Quería comunicarme con usted para asegurarle aún más que en este momento todo el personal y la familia de Alpha School están con usted.
Al entrar en la Semana 3 de nuestro Plan de Aprendizaje Virtual queremos agradecerles a todos ustedes, estudiantes, familias y personal por su colaboración y ayudándonos a todos a intentar todo lo que podamos para seguir satisfaciendo las necesidades de nuestros estudiantes.

Por favor, sepa que reconocemos los desafíos a los que nos enfrentamos y reconoce lo difícil que es esto. Seguramente estamos viviendo la historia en este momento y enfrentando desafíos que nunca hemos enfrentado antes.

Dicho esto, nuestro objetivo ante todo es ser un apoyo para todos ustedes en este momento. Si bien te escuchamos y entendemos que la cantidad de trabajo y comunicación que hemos experimentado estas primeras dos semanas es decir lo menos abrumador. Sé que nuestro personal ha compartido con muchos de ustedes, si no todos ustedes, lo que ofrecemos a diario es orientación. Tenemos el mandato legal de seguir ofreciendo servicios educativos. Nuestros hijos todavía tienen derecho a una educación apropiada incluso en estos momentos más inciertos. Por lo tanto, a medida que continuamos navegando por esto por favor no dude en involucrar a nuestro personal en la conversación y discutir, compartir lo que usted encuentra más valioso en este momento y lo que usted siente que es razonable y realista para que usted pueda lograr con sus hijos en casa. Nuestro mundo está ciertamente en crisis y lo último que queremos hacer es añadir al estrés que todos ya estamos experimentando.

En el momento en que reciba este mensaje, Alpha School permanecerá cerrada hasta nuevo aviso. La decisión de reabrir las escuelas vendrá a discreción del estado de Nueva Jersey y de nuestro Gobernador. A partir de ahora el estado tiene todas las escuelas cerradas con una fecha de reevaluación planificada del17deabril. Sin duda le mantendremos informado de cualquier evolución en el camino.
