On October 8th, our staff had a Professional Development Day. During that day, a guest speaker was invited to come and speak with our staff. The speaker was Scott Chesney. Mr. Chesney is a motivational speaker. He has the personal experience of being paralyzed from the waist down since the age of 15. Scott shared this experience and also demonstrated his positive attitude toward this experience and his life. He has traveled around the world twice, is the owner of his own business, a firewalker on his hands, skydives, mentors and is a husband and father of two children. Scott was an inspiration to all the staff at Alpha. He believes that we should turn our “shoulds” into “musts”. All of the Alpha staff are going to try and put this into practice during this school year.
